If I can recall correctly, DSpace 6.3 has encountered some major build
issues with Mirage 2 as the build process was dependent on very old
software. See this ticket / PR: https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/pull/8292
Those issues were fixed in DSpace 6.4 which was released this past
July.
