I just used my ISP and created a domain with my call sign. They take care of
all the crap and I get a custom domain. :). Cost is trivial. I forget what it
is though.

My totally uneducated guess is that it’s a surface mount capacitor. I did an
image search and found what resembles you have. That’s all I can offer. Good
luck.

I took them out just as a prophylactic measure. I *think* I know that Ni-Cd
cells don’t burst/leak over time but I would rather not perform that experiment
with a KX3.
My Bioenno battery is a small price (in $ and peace of mind) to ensure that I
don’t destroy my radio. :)

I commend to you “The Devil’s DP Dictionary” by Stan Kelly-Bootle.
“One line patch” - a code modification so trivial that it only requires a
change to one line of code to correct its function. Further corrected by
another one line patch.

Mine is faded too. I have to dig it up and see it’s country of origin. I will

Have you perused the Elecraft web site? At the top in the black band on the
right there is a “hamburger” (3 horizontal lines.) If you click there and
select “Support” you will see well thought out and well laid out procedures for
asking for help from Elecraft and if the worst should happen,
