You can "Manage Column widths" in the column picker to increase or decrease the
size of individual columns

You could mark them damaged for the duration of the program. Then run through
check-in when no longer needed to clear the "damaged" flag.
While in damage status, would not show available in the catalog.

I've just caught the tail end of this discussion so I'm not sure if our
solution is pertinent to this issue. We use patron's barcode as their
authentication for all on-line/digital usage including Overdrive. When we
issue a replacement card for a lost or damaged one, we always ask if the

Look a little further down the patron screen and uncheck the phone box. This
removes the yellow shading on Default Phone field so that info no longer
required
