I have solved this problem. When setting the imcoming and outgoing
mail servers, there is a section on checking password type. With
bellsouth.net emails, you don't do that. For IMAP, the settings are:
receiving: imap.mail.yahoo.com, port 993, TLS on a dedicated port, and
authentication type is

I don't have knowledge about flatpack, maybe the Arch Wiki is a starting
point:
When I select an email and "print" (ctrl+P), the dialog allows me to
select "Print to File" as the Printer. Once selected, there is a File
(destination) selector, and filetype selector (default PDF) below the
list of printers.
If I use the default File destination, it *says* that it is going to

OAuth2 authorization was not a problem with earlier versions of
Evolution as they did not require that authorization for bellsouth.net
accounts. Current version of Thunderbird running under Ubuntu 22.04
does not require it (nor does MS Outlook 365).
