Hi everyone,
On behalf of my employer I'm trying to port a script I used to parse
x509-certificates with Postfix to work with Exim. This is my very first
experience with Exim so bare with me if my questions come across as
stupid. I did briefly plough through The Exim SMTP mail server (Hazel)

Hi,
I have a rather strange problem. When sending mail to a particular
domain exim processes grow to a very large size, eventually using all
available ram and slowing the server to a crawl. This does look to be

Update: It is happening with other domains including Yahoo.
I'm running FreeBSD 7.1 and exim-4.69-3 more or less standard install
from ports with option ENABLE_DISABLE_FSYNC=yes though this is disabled
in the config.
This server only sends mail so there is no spam or virus scanning.

Many thanks Graeme I'll take a look. It sounds promising.
A reboot looks to have cured the problem for the time being.
Thanks

nope. still fails on a number of systems.
i am assuming there is a freebsd problem under this and filed pr/134011.
but exim_tidydb is the only code which tickles it. so i have to wonder.
