One of the neatest things about VueScan is how easy it makes
setting up a new scanner. I recently switched from a Canon FS2710 to
a Minolta Scan Dual II. I installed the Minolta software and had a
quick look at it. I then opened VueScan, used the same settings I had
been using on the Canon

The above sentence suggests that you are associated with Nikonscan software.
It's nice to have somebody to take feedback from the actual users of the
software.

Hi Rob
Changing to Image plus the increasing in the brightness to 1.2 brightened
the output.
Thanks for the tip.

You will have to change your Windows Display setting (in Win98SE it's
Control Panel-Display-Settings-Advanced-Color Management) if you want to
modify this.

I am also new to scanning and Vuescan.
I used the help given with Vuescan software as documentation.
These help files are very informative compared to what Minolta help gives.
But there will be some issues un-addressed and this list has helped in

Hi
I use Minolta Dimage Dual II with Vuescan.
In VueScan, Is it good to use RAW scan or Scan with DeviceProfile?
In VueScan, If I select Device Profile, is it the profile of the scanner?
In my PS6.0, I see two profiles related to Minolta Dimage Dual II , but
none on Vuescan.

Hi
By reading Real World of Photoshop I got some idea about the RGB
Working/Editing space.
I also started using Vuescan and I loved the technical guide which comes

Hi
I too have Minolta Dual II scanner. Before buying, I was really
confident about this model but not now.
My scanner gives "Holder not set properly" error and stops scanning until
you reinstall the software or reboot the PC(I got this within 2 weeks of its
purchase).
I sent the scanner
en scan green or magenta?
I'm trying to determine if the holder not set problem and the very off-color
scans are both occurring at the same time, or if they are independent
problems.

Er - the intention of using a raw scan is to save it so you never have
to scan the slide again. The working TIFF should be a crop which
has been adjusted for film type, colour space etc. This also lets
you adjust the brightness of the image.
Please let me know how to get RAW scans

Hi
I purchased ( online ) Minolta Dimage Scan Dual II from

www.camerazone.com has charged me 408USD for scanner and 30USD for
