Hi, this is a known bug with Services API in 2.5.3 and 2.5.5. We had the same problem with our HQbird FBDataGuard, and with our report it was fixed in 255. Use 2.5.5 - it has this fix, and it is in pre-release state, and in general it's much more stable than 2.5.3 and 2.5.4. Regards,

We using both gfix and gbak from windows service to perform routine maintenance operations such as moving db to shutdown mode performing check and then backup then online mode This works fine on Firebird 2.5.2 however it does not work on 2.5.3 & 2.5.4 The gfix or gbak just start running
