Sacramento's not THAT dead anymore Brian!! Maybe in the 1950s 1960s, when I grew up in Vallejo, and used to visit, it was a sleepy town. But, today it's a happenin' place. I've visited a few times in the recent past, since my previous employer owns KXTV, and it was bustling then. Insert your

[Flexradio] Flex3000 on 6m

2009-05-28 Thread Alfred Green
Now that the 6m E-season is starting, I've had a load of fun with the 3000 on the Magic Band. It is really great to see the activity pop up on the panadaptor, and also see (and avoid) the birdies and general crud that is the bane of operating 6m in an urban area. I was worried that I may not

[Flexradio] How well doe the F5K handle SWR

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my F5K. It should be here on Monday. Can anyone tell me how well the F5K handles SWR. My antennas are mostly better than 1.5 to 1 SWR except for 15 and 6 meters where the SWR creeps up to around 2.5. Does the F5K fold back power as the SWR goes up or

[Flexradio] Different GEN antenna settings?

Am I missing something? Is it possible to store different antenna settings in the memory channel form for out of band memories? I have several memories around the 6M band that are propagation indicators in the 48-50 and 55MHz regions, but when I use them it reverts to the last used antenna

Antenna port selections are associated with the different bands, not with memory channels. There is only one general band that is outside of the ham bands and the four WWV frequencies that it is the GEN band. If you tune outside of a ham band you are automatically put into the GEN band

Scott, I bet you have a DPC issue. Open the DPC checker in the FLEX Firewire control panel and let it run. Watch it carefully and you should see a correlation between a very long duration DPC (or several in a row) with the freeze ups. If you see that, then we know where to start looking for
