I'm a new user, as in trying to break it. So with the new svn of pb,
where does one put the skins to work with it? The package unpacks and I
have traced them to the users/../../../app/roamning/skin directory but
psdr still does not see them. Pb starts but cannot find the skin. I'm

Tim,
I thought I got it straight from Flex?
If VAC is ON, the entire MIC audio chain is OFF - unless you press PTT
and have the settings Audio,Vac - check Allow PTT to override/bypass
VAC for Phone.
It doesn't matter if you use USB or DIGU for digital modes - except for
the filters.
If
I believe you may have misunderstood.
If you are sending digitized data through a VAC channel or an analog AF input
in DIGx mode, all TX audio chain processing is turned off except ALC.
If you manually turn off all TX audio chain processing in USB mode, then you
have the same configuration.
Whilst we are on digital subjects maybe someone can shed some light on
something for me.
Not being a large user of digital modes I am stumped.
I am using HRD DM780, PowerSDR 1.18.5 with all latest updates on Win XP
Pro.
When using say psk or rtty etc everything works fine if I use
When using say psk or rtty etc everything works fine if I use usb/lsb and not
DIGU/DIGL.
Your digital mode program does not talk native PowerSDR CAT, so it is confused
about the modes DIGU and DIGL. In the CAT setup, check the box that says
DIGIL/U returns LSB/USB. Programs like FLdigi
Laurie,
A - I have no problem using DIGU.
B - In DM780, click Program Options/PTT. Check Com Port - Via serial com
port and select the other pair of com port. The other one is set in
PowerDSR in Cat control/PTT control..

Dan,
The processor does have enough power and with the proper memory, firewire PC
card, etc. its a great laptop for Flex. With PB-PAL, 4GB of memory I can get
DPCs that my friend Tim calls mowing that low green grass when viewing the
DPCLat screen. DPCs are low with a CPU util of 15-25%.

Over the years I've added many antennas to my station. Some stay, some

Under WinXP I used Rattv3 from Microsoft to trace the offenders. Is
there a similar program for Win7 ?
May be our Neil guru may know?
