Gary, Leave the radio port in DDUtil at COM5 (PowerSDR is COM 4). Launch PowerSDR and DDUtil. In the title bar of DDUtil you should see your current VFO and frequency setting and it should follow when you tune the radio. THis ensures PowerSDR is talking to DDUtil. Next, on the ports tab in

Welcome to the club, Dennis. Lee is using the PowerSDR 2.0.0 beta software which is not released yet. Hopefully it will be out shortly after Dayton. As a new user, I recommend that you stay with the released versions of the software which are more stable and provide a better environment

For some reason BobSmeter seems to be intefering with fldigi getting CAT info on my setup. I can turn off BobSmeter and have no issues but as soon as I turn it on flidigi does not change frequency when I change frquency in PowerSDR. PTT by radio command works when BobSmeter is off but not

Multiple devices can not share comports (virtual or physical) without some special logic to make sure devices or software connected to them are not in conflict. PowerSDR has only one CAT port and only one application can use it unless you have something like DDUTIL mediating the CAT traffic.

Here is the problem with com port repeaters that DDUTIL does not have. There is no logic in a com port repeater to prevent one CAT enabled program from interfering with another CAT enabled program because there is no logic mediating the higher level conversations (system state) between the two
