I am using a pair of Cambridge SoundWorks powered speakers from a 15 year old computer. I had the same problem with RFI. I solved the problem by replacing the zip cord speaker wire with shielded cable and adding snap-on RF chokes at the speakers and the amp output. 73, John, N8WNA

I have used the Bose companion II for foul years withe all the flex radios running legal limit. Never had issues with rf . Great sound. At this time I have my 6500 , 3000 and 1500 hooked up at the same time, I only run one radio at a time but could run all. Great sound built great, look great.

Normally I use headphones with my 5000 but this past summer I lashed up an old Bogen 18 watt tube amp (found it in recycled trash) and it drove a 3-way bookshelf speaker with a 12 in woofer. Shielding in the amp was minimal to nonexistent but no RFI problems even driving the amplifier. Worked and
