There have been numerous reports of problems with VAC v4.13 Most have
reverted back to v4.12 with better success.

Is it possible that DDUtil could be involved with this issue? When I bypass
DDUtil, everything seems to work as expected. However, I can't understand
how this utility would cause a problem with the audio.
