Another one to try is Fideliphone: http://www.fideliphone.com/ Uses the Opus codec and is fully adjustable. RemAud is ok, but doesn't include Opus, only GSM (ugh) and PCM linear encoding. I always use PCM. I've also had issues with it not playing well with some pc apps in terms of sample rate

Sheldon: FWIW, the 'dead man' timer relay I'm using now is one of these kits: http://www.electronickits.com/kit/complete/elec/ck1614.htm It can be set for any length you could possibly want. (I first used an old Allen Bradley octal TD relay I had at work, but that was kinda unwieldy). This

FWIW, to protect my 3000 remote station I use a 'dead man' delay-on-operate relay which is triggered by the TX relay in the Flex (linear amp key). If the TX relay is closed for more than 5 minutes, the time delay relay pulls in and shuts the power off to the radio for 10 seconds, assuring QRT.

The one item still missing is the ability to disable the amp key line (tx relay output in the Flex) when the TUN button is clicked. It would be nice to make that a checkbox option in PSDR for those using external autotuners with their amplifiers. g Tim Ellison wrote: Just click on the TUN

Hi Mark: FWIW, I use my 3000 exclusively remotely since I can't deploy antennas at the home condo. You're quite right that the panadaptor and other data rich display modes can be a real bandwidth hog. As a benchmark, using VNC for remote desktop access, the panadaptor eats up ~200-300kbps
