OK. So if the rig is keying immediately, then the CAT ZZTX command is
doing its job. The issue is a delay in the audio being sent from Fldigi
to PowerSDR.

The FLEX-family of SDRs does not use sound cards, as that was the design
of first generation SDRs. The current FLEX SDRs have the ADC/DACs built
in so there is no sound card requirement.

All you have to do is change the DDS IF in Setup to a lower value than

Those controls on the front panel are only for recording and playing
back audio over the air, not for archiving purposes (recording and
playing back later).
Use the Wave menu option to record and play back audio through PowerSDR.

It is a known issue with the Firewire driver related to buffer syncing.
It has been reported to the Firewire driver developers. Make sure you
are using the legacy 1394 driver in Windows. That helps sometimes.

The answer is no, your F5K will not be history. PowerSDR creates unique
databases for for each radio that is connected to the PC and used. I
have about 10 FLEX-1500 databases from using my laptop at hamfests for
demos.

Well, that really isn't 100% correct. The IEEE cable distance spec for
1394a is 4.5 metres (15 ft)

The only way to disable the speaker is to open the Mixer form from the
menu bar and un-check the speaker output. There isn't an auto disable
feature.

Right now I would recommend the Asrock 880GM-LE micro-ATX board with
the AMD X4 970 chip, its an absolute smoker!! I did one this weekend and

This smells of a configuration issue. Have you tried a reset to factory
defaults and tested the mic before doing any database imports or data
transfers? Just manually set up the minimum changes needed to test the
mic output.
