Bill,
Switch the TX meter to ALC and make certain that the meter is hitting 0
(but not above) on voice peaks. If the ALC is not reaching 0, then you
will not get the full 100W out.

Per W1AEX's fine article, MIC TX readings hover in the -7 to -10 region but

myself but curious what the assembled multitude thinks.
What sort of peak power to you guys show on your Flex 5000s running 100
watts into a more or less resonant antenna? My Flex 5000 shows roughly 100
