Hi Matt, The FTDI drivers support the USB and serial port (each RFspace radio has an optional serial port). As for painless 'plug-and-pray' the answer is: Ethernet. I have two Ethernet SDR radios here, I can run them from any PC in my network. No driver issues, nothing. Obviously latency when

While a move to USB may seem inevitable it doesn't come without its own problems. Flex have already had to rewrite the Flex-1500 USB drivers to work around issues in different motherboard chipsets. I think the wider issue is that the Flex radios are real-time audio devices and are

Coming from a background of using RFspace's SDR-IQ and SDR-14 with sample rates of ~ 196kHz there have been *no* issues with motherboard USB chipsets. Fortunately the SDR-IQ does not draw too much current, even weak USB chips support the IQ with ease. My ASUS EEE N270 netbook runs without problem.

I believe the issues that the Flex-1500 driver had are due to the fact that Flex are writing their own USB device driver as they are moving away from using the Windows sound subsystem to interface with the radio. The Flex-1500 drivers and PSDR 2.x are still in beta so some issues are to be
