Debian/wheezy freeze is very close. Is anyone interested in a sprint
until this Friday to get all our packages into a proper shape (and
get important new packages towards NEW)?

The freeze didn't happen *yet*.

I uploaded recent versions of guymager and md5deep but I don't have
much time this week. If there's anything pending just for upload or
review I'll try to get it done though, so please ping me if there's
such a thing!

I would be happy to help get reglookup and grokevt updated to their
latest release versions. I'm basically still waiting for someone with
more Debian package experience to step up and help me out with that.
Lots of users have been waiting on this for a while too. Let me know
 when and where.

Let me know how I can help you, just ping me on IRC (I'm mikap on
#debian-forensics) or via mail.

I'm interested, for sure, but I'm not sure that I will be able to have
 free time until Friday.

Just let the list now if something is happening, I'll do my best to
 participate.

I think going through all our packages and checking for open bugs,
new upstream releases,... is important work. If anyone notices
anything specific please let me know. We should try to work out an
up2date version of a TODO list as well. :)

If we don't manage it until friday then it's still an option to just
get it done ASAP afterwards. :)

If anyone needs reviews or uploads of something specific just ping
me, in the meanwhile I'll try to get as much done as possible.

Forensics Packages

2011-10-03 Thread Christophe Monniez
Hi Danny,

As I told you in a private e-mail, we (the Debian Forensics Team) are
interested in maintaining scalpel, vinetto and rdd packages.

Could you file a RFA for the packages ?
That way, we could then adopt them.

Thank you.
