heirloom-mailx is now a transitional package depending on s-nail.

S-nail does not offer same ABI as mailx (see bug#846062).

If s-nail ABI is really supported, then rkhunter should recommend
s-nail instead of heirloom-mailx, or else that part should be dropped.

Severity set to serious for same reason as in bug#846062.

I don't think this qualifies for severity serious, especially
because it's not even a dependency but just a recommends.
Adjusting to important.

heirloom-mailx is now a transitional package depending on s-nail.

S-nail does not offer same ABI as mailx (see bug#846062).

If s-nail ABI is really supported, then rkhunter should recommend
s-nail instead of heirloom-mailx, or else that part should be dropped.

Severity set to serious for same reason as in bug#846062.

Bug#838554: Removed package(s) from unstable

2016-09-26 Thread Debian FTP Masters
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

  yara | 3.4.0+dfsg-4 | mips, powerpc, s390x

--- Reason ---
ANAIS: Does not work on big-endian architectures
--

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next
dinstall run at the earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

Bugs which have been reported against this package are not automatically
removed from the Bug Tracking System. Please check all open bugs and
close them or re-assign them to another package if the removed package
was superseded by another one.

The version of this package that was in Debian prior to this removal
can still be found using http://snapshot.debian.org/.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 838...@bugs.debian.org.

I didn't change /e/d/rkhunter nor /e/rkhunter.conf, but the very same conf is
running on multiple boxes without problems. Debug log is attached below [1].

As far I can see, the second call on check_required_commands() doesn't include
/{s,}bin, so probably $BINPATHS is set wrong at that time. Manual setting with
--binpath /bin doesn't change the output on stdout/err or in the debug log.

Cheers,

Julius

Bug#636693: Removed package(s) from unstable

2011-08-05 Thread Debian FTP Masters
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

   tct | 1.19-1 | source, amd64, armel, i386, ia64, mips, mipsel,
powerpc, s390, sparc

--- Reason ---
ROM; obsolete, dead upstream, low popcon
--

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive (ftp-master.debian.org) and will not propagate to any
mirrors (ftp.debian.org included) until the next cron.daily run at the
earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

We try to close Bugs which have been reported against this package
automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they where closed
correctly or should have been re-assign to another package.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 636...@bugs.debian.org.

The full log for this bug can be viewed at http://bugs.debian.org/636693

Th no such vanishings as these. The dimmer constellations of the soft
night are reserved by the skies. Hardly is a secondary star seen by the
large and vague eyes of the stream. They are blind to the Pleiades.
There is a little kind of star that drowns itself by hundreds in the
river Thames--the many-rayed silver-white seed that makes journeys on
all the winds up and down England and across it in the end of summer. It
is a most expert traveller, turning a little wheel a-tiptoe wherever the
wind lets it rest, and speeding on those pretty points when it is not
flying. The streets of London are among its many highways, for it is
fragile enough to go far in all sorts of weather. But it gets disabled
if a rough gust tumbles it on the water so that its finely-feathered
feet are wet. On gentle breezes it is able to cross dry-shod, walking
the waters. All unlike is this pilgrim star to the tethered
constellations. It is far adrift. It goes singly to all the winds. It
offers thistle plants (or whatever is the flower that makes such
delicate ashes) to the tops of many thousand hills. Doubtless the farmer
would rather have to meet it in battalions than in these invincible
units astray. But if the farmer owes it a lawful grudge, there is many a
