Hello Hedley,
I create a new FrameMaker book (I call it a repository.book) in which I
collect all my text insets. I use this repository.book for spell-checking,
global changes etc.
Admitted, it's a workaround, but it works pretty well.
Best regards

Where did you find this file? There are no *.lst files anywhere within
my FrameMaker directory.

Aargh!
I've re-instated AdobeStd and AdobePiStd.
In my message I also mentioned that I removed the AdobeFnt07.lst file.
It seems that this is generated by Acrobat Distiller rather than
FrameMaker. Apologies to anyone who has been fruitlessly searching for
this file.

From what I know you can't. That's the standard ASCII-based sorting.

It works because it makes *all* the entries character strings, vs. a

I know this is somewhat off topic, but perhaps the responses will be

Hi Steve
Thanks for the suggestion. Someone else sent me another workaround off-list,
which I thought I'd post here to get it into the archive: put an M space in
front of each number. This seems illogical but it works.
For me, I'm sorting in a "database" document and copying some of the sorted

One quick amplification regarding your first point:
If you make a multi-flow file to hold multiple text inset source

in any combination in any container document. Remember that
