I think the reason for installing FrameMaker after Acrobat is so that it will
configure itself to use the Distiller instance you have already installed. If
you do Acrobat
using Adobe FrameMaker software.

Hmmm ... my experience: as long as you stop FrameMaker from installing its
version of Distiller, it does not matter when you install Acrobat.

supposed to install Frame or Acrobat (DC) first in order to ensure that the
"headless" (correct term?) version of Distiller is not crushed by Acrobat.
