I have had a Incredisonic IMP 150 playing a 45 min. clip for over 7 months without problems. It restarts automatically after a power outage and loops with about 20 sec. of black and cost around $40.00 from my local electronics dealer. There is a brief logo when it restarts after a power failure.

if no one said it yet, there is a program called "Play Back Pro" that runs on mac you can loop forever on it.. it's a professional level program that we use here in San Francisco for very high profile corporate events. It's pretty easy to use, but it is a little expensive. You can also

Seconding Andre's vote for raspberry pi. The best thing about this - the device is single-tasking. I've seen digital work sabotaged by a Windows OS cry for software update in the gallery. . . Size makes physical installation more fun/interesting in a gallery space as well. It can be

This is a really low bitrate file, actually — like, 10mbps. And I’ve tried it with a 45 minute file, and a much longer one. It just seems to stutter and drop frames after a while. > On Feb 27, 2016, at 3:23 PM, todd eacrett wrote: > > > Oops. Didn't read that you are

Has anyone tried the Micca Speck G2 or IncrediSonic IMP? They're cheap and tiny, no streaming, just file playback. I've been told they loop seamlessly or with just a very short black screen, but no logo/icon. If anyone has used either, do they output analog audio and hdmi video at the same time

Amanda, Thanks for the info. I’ve been thinking about creating the 10hour video in quicktime as a solution. How did you play your 10 hour video? On a mac? We’re going to need three players, and I’m not sure I’ve got 3 macs (minis or laptops) that I could use during the duration of the show.

Media players are terrible with long videos. Are you playing one long file? The ones I have used have all had a file size limit of a few gigs, so I've had to cut up my long videos into 10-minute chunks. Plus if you are coming from a Mac, the media players are all Windows-formatted, so there is
