We run a Dell PowerEdge 950 III (PE_SC3) Server with FreeBSD 8.2-STABLE.

If there is no entry for CD in the mixer, but for PCM,
it seems to indicate why playback from disk works, but
even (assumed) playback
Correct, cd entry from mixer is
missing.
However, then it didn't stop other tools
from working (I think that at one point I
also used mplayer for CD playback).
