when using the bootonly.iso from the ftp servers...
if you drop to a shell, use dhclient to obtain an ipaddress.. well you get
one.. but you have no DNS, because I think dhclient can't write to
/etc/resolv.conf
what is the correct way to fix this?

I am running a Fresh install of amd64 FreeBSD 8.0 RC3
when running firefox It locks up for a moment then is fine then when I
load a new page it locks up again.
here is the error I get in the console when running native firefox 3.5

Take a look at what /etc/rc.d/ppp does
Probably you need a script that runs after ng0 comes up and does
something similar.
I found this, can I just paste it into /usr/local/etc/rc.d/mpd ? I am
not very versed in shell scripting

X windows has client/server built into the protocol: you can run an X

What is the procedure for updating from kde 4.0.5 to 4.1?
I've tried yum update but yum reports there are no updates to apply.
FreeBSD does not use Yum, it uses a ports tree, the closest thing that
