Freetype 2.4.3 does not want to build. Here is the output from
./configure --prefix=/usr:

I did successfully build other software immediately

I replaced the file configure with the newer version from git. Now
FreeType 2.4.3 builds. Thank you!

Please test the current git; theoretically, this bug has already
been fixed.
It might be a good idea to post beta/release candidate builds for
wider testing, before actually releasing a new freetype
