I don't know of any rogue client that uses the cache internals, so I
guess it's OK to change these to FT_LOCAL at the moment.
Done. There are some functions commented out -- please check them
and delete if you think it is possible.

ft2demos no longer compiles -- it uses the cache manager...
It does now, you caught the code before I commited the changes to
ft2demos as well :-)
But you haven't committed anything yet...
