In embedded systems which aren't booted often it would make sense to use a static memory management, avoiding an increasing fragmentation of the memory. What do you think? What's a recommended maximum size for such a memory block under normal circumstances -- i.e., a TTF not larger than 100KByte, with max. 400 glyphs, probably stored in an array not larger than 500KB, using default modules, max. 3 charmaps, one face, no subglyphs. ====================================================================== The original message in German. bei Embedded Systemen, die nicht oft neu gebootet werden, wäre ein statisches Speichermanagement u.U. sinnvoll, um eine zunehmende Fragmentierung des Speichers zu verhindern.
