Thanks very much. I use my own method to do this mapping, it works well... I just to want to how does freetype2 to deal with this. Thank you again. I will leave my code unchanged. Re: [ft-devel] Freetype demos on fedora (Re: Freetype-devel Digest, Vol 158, Issue 37
Thanks for your feedback. The issue in my case was just that I missed to clean up some debugging code that I injected into an *.mk file while trying to track down the issue (awks). Ultimately, the hint from Kushal did it for me - as far as I can tell, libX11-devel was missing. Thanks again for all the quick replies! Also, you might need to be using "gnome classic" (it is a session option below your login prompt") to be using X11 programs. Again, installing gnome-classic-session will probably bring in everything you need, if you do not have x11 already. Re: [ft-devel] Running ftview + ftgrid on Fedora
Thanks for the hint, haven't had the devel of libX11 installed yet. But the issue still exists (even after new clean builds). The problem might be connected to different paths of of the lib on 32/64 archs (found a comment about that). I will investigate further! :) On 24/03/2018 11:23:48, Kushal K S V Swrote: https://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=libX11-devel [https://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=libX11-devel] Most probably this is missing. No, I mean `FT_Set_Charmap'. `FT_Select_Charmap' usually doesn't work for PCF fonts since they don't contain standard mappings. Your sample code doesn't extract the BDF properties from the PCF files to derive the character mapping information, as mentioned in a previous e-mail. Please read carefully what I write!
