GlusterD performs the following functions as the management daemon for
GlusterFS:
- Peer membership management
- Maintains consistency of configuration data across nodes (distributed
configuration store)
- Distributed command execution (orchestration)
- Service management (manage GlusterFS

distributed configuration store (sum total of /var/lib/glusterd/* across all
