Hello,
I'm new to glusterfs and I dont understand 'the
performance.write-behind-window-size' option. I'm using glusterfs 3.5.2
and setup a volume over two nodes connected over 1 GbE.
Actually the write performance is about 58 Mb/s.

Hi guys. I have a 2 node replicated gluster setup with the quorum count
set at 1 brick. By my understanding this means that the gluster will not
go down when one brick is disconnected. This however proves false and when
one brick is disconnected (i just pulled it off the network) the remaining
Hello
I have been using GlusterFS for about two years, We use Distributed Replicated
volumes to hold files as NAS, Now I want to hold some VM images (KVM/Vmware). I
am interested in Striped volume to improve IO performance.
But I found in admin guide, There are notes: In this release,
Quorum only applies when you have 3 or more bricks replicating each other. In other words it doesn't mean any thing in a 2 node 2 brick cluster so it shouldn't be set.In other words based on your settings it's acting correctly because it thinks that the online brick needs to have a minimum of one
I am seeing these messsages after I delete large amounts of data using
gluster 3.6.2.
cannot delete non-empty directory:

From the FUSE mount (as root), the directory shows up as empty:

Lala,
AFAIR, you are correct. However I think we still don't have code for point
2. Although it generates warning, but rebalance can go through.

Correct! I have seen(back in the day, its been 3ish years since I have
seen it) having say 50+ volumes each with a geo rep session take system
load levels to the point where pings couldn't be serviced within the ping
timeout. So it is known to happen but there has been alot of work in the

I've got a Gluster volume on a remote server that I'm trying to mount on my

remote machines, but it won't work on any machine on my local network.
I've checked the firewall and the packets are getting through. I've tried
