Hi,
Sometimes registration to ekiga.net or diamondcard fails (it
timeouts). Restarting ekiga fixes the problem, so I guess it is a
result of network congestion. Is there a quick way to make Ekiga
retry registering to either of these services without quitting
restarting?
I am using version

Hi,
I have noticed that I can make speed dial entries in the address book.
If I understand correctly, if I set an entry's speed dial to foo, I
need to type sip:foo# into the VOIP address line.
If possible, it would be nice if simply typing foo worked there. Cf
bookmark keywords in Firefox.
Hi,
I realize it is a bit offtopic, but I would like to purchase a
wireless headset for using with Ekiga. If somebody has a headset they
like (sound quality, linux driver support), please let me know.
Wireless is important.
Thanks,
Tamas

Hi,
I am trying to set up sipdiscount with ekiga (the trial version). In
my Accounts, I created an account with the following settings (as

Hi,
I finally gave up getting my router (D-link DSL 624+) to work with
Ekiga, and decided to replace it (it can't forward enough ports). I
am asking people on this list to please recommend some routers known
to work ekiga smoothly.
Thank you,

Hi,
First time I ran the latest snapshot (debian/etch), it quit
unexpectedly (after walking though the druid). Though it no longer
does that, I think I made a debug with -d4 of a session when it did.
When it quit unexpectedly, it wouldn't remember my ekiga.net accound
settings, now it does (I
Hi,
I put ekiga-cvs (latest ubuntu/breezy) on my mother's machine, and
tried to call her.
Configuration druid went through fine, it detects cone NAT (it's a
D-Link 624 firewall/router), and enables stun support. Then it says:

Hi,
Would it be possible to have Debian packages of the CVS snapshots for
the powerpc architecture on snapshots.gnomemeeting.net? Currently the
only arch is i386.

As soon as echo cancellation is active, NR is active too. That's a
global filter.

Damien,
I am using Linux on a PPC machine. While there are many VOIP
applications (and I have no doubt that there are many more to come),
almost all of them are closed source and binary only. This means that
they are usually provided for Windows, OS X, and linux-i386.

Hi,
gnomemeeting does not appear to recognize that the sound driver is
alsa, in the preferences tab, alsa is not even offered, only OSS and
Quicknet. Nevertheless, alsa is working properly on the computer with
other prohrams, eg mpg321 -o alsa file.mp3 works, alsamixergui,
alsactl works, etc.

Hi,
I have a Hawking webcam which uses the stv680 driver and works fine in
other applications, provided I turn color correction off (eg in
Camorama), otherwise there is a miscolored image.
I could not find a similar option to turn color correction off in
gnomemeeting, please tell me how to do
