I've put a better version at

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gnucash/FinanceQuote%20Update.app.zip
 )Drag the decompressed (unzipped) version to the same folder where you put 
Gnucash and run it. It's pretty geeky: It will open terminal, demand that you 
authenticate, and ask you a ton of questions. Just take the defaults where the 
answer isn't obvious (like what continent do you live in) and pick any mirror 
that  you like. You can save some more questions by telling it "follow" when it 
asks what to do about dependencies.

I'll try adding it to the bundle for 2.4 so that most people won't need to run 
it at all.

Oh, and please copy the list when you reply: Use "reply all" instead of just 
"reply".
