Hi Alex,
I don't have any idea what is the TXF code for those lines. I've googled
and the TurboTax is no longer posting the TXF specification. I can't find
any in the internet.
Surely some one knows how to get the latest TXF spec.

Dear David,
I never got to read your explanation to my questions completely. Now that I did
everything is a lot clearer to me and I want to thank you for taking the timein
writing a detailed answer to me.
Thanks again and have a blessed day!

Yes it did ask for the old name. But I finally manage to get things in
order and delete a huge number of files.
What a difference ;-)
Thanks Colin

Let's wait and see if we can get one of the developers (who are volunteers)
to respond to this issue on this email list.
Then, perhaps they'll ask you to file a bug report. In which case, fixing
this issue will get in the queue of fixes to be made.

I just found out that Capital One 360 no longer allows downloading of
transactions, it seems they cited security reasons.
Anyone else come across this with other banks?

You probably also have a "den.gnucash", a

There is something I don't understand in the file names used by
GnuCash.
I must miss something...:-(
Today I save the file as usual when exiting (today is >2017-07-20< and
the file name used by GnuCash was:)
Thx for the response, but that doesn't really help me. My goal is to have
this to be included. I'm not familiar how to open a ticket to GNU Cash
developer to have this fixed.

Hi,
You should see a small attachment of the IHTFP logo attached to this email.
No need to respond; I'll see the email myself.
Just ensuring that actual "attachments" are not blocked (they shouldn't me).
Note that *INLINE* attachments still fail. But actual attachments like
this should work.
It is curious that this form is not in the list. For tax related accounts
that cannot be assigned to the proper form you could just mark the account
as tax related without the form assignment, and it will be in the report
where you will at least be reminded to include it in your filing.

Why GNU Cash can't classify an expenses to be reported in US Federal Tax

this happens on my mac too. it's very annoying. i have done the suggestions
others have offered but they are time consuming and a report should break
between lines. i've tried exporting into numbers or excel and then i have
to fiddle with the columns. i've tried shrinking the amount and sometimes
Jeffrey, I failed to say that I use a Mac, not Windows and not a pc. I don’t
know if that makes a difference. I think not. Anita

Jeffrey, I suggest you change your print image to about 97% in your print
program. That worked for me. Anita

Jeffrey, I have had success with using the printer app—reduce the image to 97%
and see what happens…. Anita

Does anyone know how or of a utility that will allow me to print reports

Just make sure you assign the correct tax account per multisplit
transaction.

No... usually you would search transactions for quick lookups ("warranty

New to gnucash so finding it a bit difficult to get my head round details
Council tax (UK property tax) is paid by 10 regular monthly payments each
year (i.e. 2 months with no payment). Can this be done with scheduled
transactions and if so how - or would it be simpler to reset it each year?
Help! My computer crashed and I was forced to clean install windows 10. I do
have backups. I have loaded Gnucash exe back onto my machine. However, I can
not locate the previous files I had for my accounting. Where is the data I
previously had and how do I “point” my new Gnucash program
Folks,
I'd like to understand how one goes about recording a stock demerger
transaction in GNU cash.
I'd been owning X shares of a company A, which underwent a demerger, which
resulted in all
shareowners of company A, getting shares in Company B in the ratio of 1:1.
So I end up
with X shares each
I have not used internet chat feeds in 30 years so bear with me as I
relearn how. I found partial answers to my questions all over the web
but; nothing that worked for me using the exported reports in other
programs.
Anyway questions at hand. I am using GNUCash 2.16.7 for Windoze 10. I
