The tooltip on hover tells you it searches Descriptions, Notes & Memos.
I tried a ’not-match’ regex though and it didn’t work. It even changed my
assigned account when I clicked ‘Apply’ so something is definitely wrong
somewhere. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get it to reliably change my account

I can put a word into the Transaction Filter field and click OK to search the
report for transactions with that word in their description field.

- delete each individual payment one at a time
- then un-post each individual bill one at a time
- then delete each individual bill one at a time

How about you provide some details on OS and version, Gnucash version,
what currency or currencies you are working in, and what currency
symbols you think should be
