I moved GnuCash from one machine to another, and found that I had trouble recreating the online transaction downloads. I was able to setup four accounts, but setting up the fifth account led to an odd situation/bug where CreditCard account's downloads would attempt to post to CheckingAccount.

Thank you Ken, adding a key combination in accelerator-map works as expected and deletes about 2 a second. I think this would be the best option at the moment until there is a multi-select option as starting a new book would require opening the archived one for transaction history and is less

Yes, you can close the book and it will zero out income and expense accounts, but it does not remove any transactions and it will not reduce the size of the file. In fact, since it creates entries in all the expense and income accounts, the file will actually be larger. Thank You, Gyle

Marc -- First decide if you want to keep the old transactions in an archive file. If yes, then you will have 2 files, one of the archived transactions and one with the latest transactions. If you decide you do not want the old transactions, then you can just delete the old ones from your
