trial and error adjusting the printing to fit your check stock. There will
also be some trial and error in GnuCash.

If your file already contains a transaction that was previously imported

Sometime in the 4.x series of releases a new method of auto filling the
account name was introduced where you just start typing part of the account
name and when your text matches existing text it is supposed to autofill

The GnuCash program alone is very stable and reliable. It can work with
local data files directly or remote data files using third party or network
software. Whatever reliability issue you are having is most likely an
external one.
It is not required to use the mysql database format to

which] on almost any column head and the window sorted alphabetical ly or
reverse alphabetical ly. Has that changed ? Also, in the COA there was a
column for account numbers which could be used for sorting.

Your bank creates the Ofx file. Gnucash just accepts what they give you.
Sometimes it may appear to be incorrect when it is a misunderstanding about

if so, how to format the CSV file to make it assign the correct split lines

How can I find our what the search criteria are for a particular search
results window and how can I re-open the search to modify the criteria?
I know that is not under the tools menu, but perhaps it should be?
