No securities at all, average transaction description maybe 15

I've checked settings, and it says I'm compressing files, and backing up
data for 30 days.
What else do I
Thanks for moving it somewhere clearer. I'm surprised more people don't
want this feature, it's bog standard in most programs I use every day.
Thanks for your help!

Thanks so much, I'll upgrade as soon as I can! In future, I'll check to see
if there's a new version before I post here.

Are you saying it doesn’t behave according to Section 2.3.3 of the
Tutorial and
https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/FAQ#Q:_How_do_I_resize_my_register_columns.3F_Why_can_I_not_shrink_the_description_column.3F in
the FAQ?

From memory the description column is a special case. I usually get all
my other columns just the width I want them and if everything is too
wide I then drag the RIGHT HAND end of the Description column back to
the left a bit and let it go - it then adjusts to fill the available space.

columns?
Praise the Lord, that helps a great deal. Now I can use it again :)
There's still a UI bug to fix, but this is a great workaround.
Thanks for that nugget, much appreciated!
