As John already hinted, the problem is that in order to display the charts, some external javascript files are loaded. The paths to these javascript files are set when you generate the report and will refer to some files in the directory where gnucash is installed. And there's the issue:

Actually GnuCash will automatically fill out the refund field for you. If you then just hit Ok, it will add a refund split to your payment transaction, in the account that happened to be selected at the right. If you don't want that to happen you have to manually set the refund field to 0
