Tony, I recently ugraded from 2.6.21 to 3.5 on Windows 10 and had to locate the saved reports. I'll tell you what I did. On my system this was a file called "saved-reports-2.4", which was located at: C:\users\USERNAME\.gnucash where USERNAME is the current user. I copied this file to:

I added the extra text to the environment file as requested. - GnuCash loaded normally. - I created and saved a new file. - I was able to exit GnuCash and restart successfully, loading the new file. - I tried to load a copy of my existing data file from 2.6.18 and the "loading user data..." stage

On the other test installation I also made the environment file change. - I tried this installation without any existing data file. - This time GnuCash loaded slowly but without the splash screen disappearing. Various messages appeared at the bottom of the splash screen with progress bar

I downloaded an installed the Windows version: gnucash-2.7.0-setup.exe. It installs OK but upon running the proigram immediately crashes with Runtime Error. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit 15063.674 running on VMware Workstation 12 Player. -- Sent from:
