How about a sub-account for each charity, as Geoff suggested, and *zero*
tags? Once you have the sub-accounts and use them, you can track the
charity by running a transaction report. Go to options, select Donations
and all the sub accounts on the accounts tab, and set the desired date
range on
an import. The other user was
using the recently released version 5.6.

Paul,
Perhaps you have inadvertently entered a zero into the Groceries account?
If you do, it overrides the summation of subaccounts. You can simply
highlight and hit delete to get rid of it.

Either a "fill to right" or "copy column" would cut down on the
copy/paste. Wish I could offer to help implement this, but I have zero
experience with C/C++.

I would echo the feature request for "fill from selected to the right".
Another good addition to the budget editor would be the ability to copy an
entire period column for all accounts.
Thanks!

good change \(but not as big an improvement) would be to
fill a number across the periods to the right.

account parents, with sub-accounts underneath, it takes a while to copy the
entire column one entry at a time [by memory it's arrow down, return, type
value, return...and repeat for each account]. Surely there should be a way
to duplicate a column?

Still may be a bug worth noting, but maybe this suggestion from a thread
earlier this year [

will help?

Is this expected behavior?

Here is a 2.6.19. Maybe this will work...

Tried building 3.3, and found same thing. Known bug from upstream. Don't
know status of fix.

I can heartily endorse crouton (https://github.com/dnschneid/crouton) as a
way to install Linux on a chromebook. I did it for a couple years, and
Ubuntu ran beautifully, but there will of course be a dependency on how
powerful it is. I had an Acer C720 with 4GB RAM, 32GB SSD, and an Intel
I3,
t have the problem. Maybe you should submit it so a developer will
check into it?
