We have that covered - pre-toasted marshmallows with authentic smokey
flavour that the whole family will love - comes with free toasting stick
to hold in the 'flames'. Fun for the whole family. Buy one pack, get one
free, but hurry, stocks are limited!

Mea Culpa.
I stand corrected, there are - I didn't look properly so didn't see the
'Previous', 'Next'. I was expecting to see comments below.
I
Not sure what you mean by 'un-commented'. There were a few message
exchanges in each thread, though there was no resolution for any of them.
I have the column turned on and I haven't noticed it not working
properly, but I also haven't had any cases like yours or those in the
other threads
Thanks Adrian, for taking the trouble.
I had a look at the links and note they remain uncommented.
I suppose the question is, then, what is the intention of the column?
Perhaps the answer is 42 with the concomitant forgetfulness.
Perhaps we shall never know and myths and legends will grow up
I found two threads:
https://lists.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-user/2023-January/104675.html
https://lists.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-user/2023-December/109930.html
It seems there has been an issue with this column for at least a year,
or it is working as intended, just not as expected.
Thanks Adrien,
I had a rummage through the lists, maybe I missed it as all I could find
was a similar problem in version 2 some years back.
Never mind, these are personal finances and the registers are correct so
it's no biggie, and it is only that one sub-account. There are other
figures I noted
This sounds familiar. Perhaps search the last few months of the list
archive for 'Total(Period)' and you should find at least one more thread
on this. It might be a bug. (and may be already filed, so a search on
Bugzilla would be in order.)
Regards,
Adrien

Hello everyone,
MacPro 2010 High Sierra 10.13.6
GnuCash 5.5 Build ID: 5.5+(2023-12-16)
I only just noticed, but I'm pretty sure it was correct before, that one
'child' bank account is showing the 'Total' instead of the 'Total (Period)'.
I have:
- Run the check and repair (all of them)
-
