It works the same on MacOS (with CMD).
If you only want Income & Expenses, click Clear All.
Then collapse the tree completely so you can see the main accounts.
Select Expenses and click Select Children
Holding Ctrl/Cmd, Select Income and again (still holding Ctrl/Cmd) click
Select Children.
