>From memory the Linux version always seems to run that bit faster and smoother, that was my impression when I had both installed albeit different versions (could never work out how to download the latest version,). Not sure if this will help but my load/save time whilst not fast have improved

I had the same issue with Windows 10. Very slow loading and saving. I went back to 2.6 and everything was good. Saving with 2.6 took around 8 seconds. With 3.2 took close to 40 seconds to save. I then made the window as small as I could and it would save in about 12 seconds. So based on that

Some people have reported saving took considerably less time when they made the gnucash window as small as possible. This suggests gnucash is repeatedly updating its window contents while saving. Can you check if this makes a difference for you ? Geert Op donderdag 5 juli 2018 08:19:01 CEST

Thank you for the feedback, I did check the threads in the May archive, also cleaned out the backup files (of which there were a lot), but the improvement (if any) is only marginal. I see there were some bug reports relating to this, so I suspect I am also going to drop back to 2.6 and see how

Hi I just installed 3.1-2 on a new Windows 10 machine with a SSD disk. Data files were copied across from a Windows 7 machine where I was using an older gnucash version (2.x, will need to boot that machine to check exactly which version was used). My issue is on the new machine my XML data files
