After sending my issue, I realized I did upgrade to MariaDB 11 a while a
go, but just haven't used GnuCash since.
I've just tested and it does work on MariaDB 10, so I'll need to downgrade
for now.
Is support for MariaDB 11 in the works? Anywhere I should submit such a
request?

for years I've been happily using GnuCash on Windows, storing my data in
mariadb. Unfortunately it now started complaining about the version of
libdbi and I can't use my data anymore. I didn't change anything and even
tried upgrading from 4.13 to 5.3, but to no avail.
