Actually I’m a MacHead. =)The GnuCash installation is not clear and different programs install differently. It doesn’t do the usual “Drag this to Applications” kind of instruction. Some open source programs use a variety of installation procedures. Just glad I figured it out

I had the same issue with Windows 10. Very slow loading and saving. I went back to 2.6 and everything was good. Saving with 2.6 took around 8 seconds. With 3.2 took close to 40 seconds to save. I then made the window as small as I could and it would save in about 12 seconds. So based on that

[GNC] Gnucash ver. 3.0 app installation for Mac OS ver. 10.13.4

I am using GnuCash 2.6.19. I received your message, that I could now install GnuCash 3.0. dmg. I have tried it, but it does not work. I get the message “Verifying GnuCash app, then I am asked to open it, but when I tick “open”, nothing happens. In the “Finder” the app GnuCash 3.0 can be seen

James, The target will depend upon the distribution you are running. As Adrien has said /opt is one possibility. If you are running a version released by the Ubuntu distribution managers, i.e. installed with sudo apt-get install gnucash, it is likely to be installed in /usr/local. The

Not sure if I should have started another thread? Anyway, I am trying to install git clone on a second computer with the same operating system (Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS) as one where the installation worked. I checked the dependencies: sudo apt-get install intltool sudo apt-get install autoconf
