This is in code that I added in V1.59 so it's probably my fault, but I
can't see how it could happen. It would imply that yahoo web returned a
page with a price history table in it but there was no first price
history table in the page. I.e., it had a table, but then it didn't have

Hello. A few days ago I started to get the attached error when I attempted
to download quotes with GNUCash with YahooWeb as a source.
Running direct from the command line seems to work fine:

Ismael,
You will generally get better results sending requests to the list, for a
number of reasons.
First, you will get advice from the combined group knowledge. This is
especially helpful in this case because I don't know a heck of a lot about F::Q.
Second, normal list etiquette is not to
Are you sure your alphavantage key is properly set in your environment?

Have you tried use YAHOO_JSON? It's working for me.

Hi,
the Bloomberg perl module for F::Q should be able to get some stocks and
funds.
As I wrote here
http://gnucash.1415818.n4.nabble.com/Re-No-stock-quote-for-LU1233758587-td4693298.html#none
I was able to import the Bloomberg module into f:q in Windows:

Running gnc-fq-check on the cmd line lists the sources that fq can use. I've
tried a bunch of those sources, but none work.
Any F:Q gurus out there that can tell us a different place to go, how to swithc?

I've tried a bunch of those sources, but none work. If anyone finds
one that works for US funds or stocks plz let us know.
I looked at the fq developers email list & they're aware of the problem,

Yahoo sells advertising and provides quotes to their user community that
reads their ads. We must be missing some interface bit to say what our
yahoo email is. Someone in the development chain should investigate this at
Yahoo. Maybe they will relent until they can support such an id.

Confused why the Price Quote worked up till Nov. 1 when all my Google
searches indicate the API was pulled back in July. Why was it still working
till yesterday?
What are the Gnucash developers going to do to remedy the problem?
I see that there is a free API from Alpha Vantage. Why can't the
I found another program that may still be able to get prices, including
historical prices. It just worked a moment ago to get the price of a NYSE
stock. It would not be trivial to export tables from that program to
import into GnuCash, but maybe someone wants to try...

OK, I think I found the problem, they discovered that there is no practical
way to take possession of our first-born children and they cannot tell if
we are stealing the information that they provide for free on their finance
website and selling it to the Russians.
