I see the Billing Terms Editor only allows Net days & Proximo (which seems nearly useless for most cases because of the ‘current month’ issue) but no way to set a specific date either explicitly or such as “end of year.” In particular, I’m dealing with a property tax bill which is due 12/31/17.

OK, guess I wasn't clear (my bad) the "find" action is am invoking is from the account hierarchy not from within a register. No account registers are open and only showing the account tab. I fail to understand why the total credits/debits at the bottom of the report are NOT equal when the search

The release of the latest OS from Apple has prevented my Gnucash 2.6.17 from opening. I have downloaded 2.6.18 to see if that solved the problem and although it now opens, it does not respond to mouse or keyboard on the windows. I can only shut it using the Force Quit function. Found this on
