I forgot to mention for the ping, the server is: 204.107.200.65.
Though you could ping ‘lists.gnucash.org’ as well, it will fail if you’re
having DNS problems.

David,
I presume you mean in order to adjust your preferences?
Since you were able to send the below message, the server is not down.
I just logged in successfully.
Perhaps you have a DNS issue?
Have you tried pinging the server?

When ever I try to login to the mail list, I get this message Unable to
connect. I get the same result, if I use Firefox, Chrome, or epiphany.
Any suggestions?

Dennis,
As dpkg tells you, only the config files are on the system. Those are not
removed by a ‘remove’ command, you need to purge as the command response
advises.
Try ONE of the following: (as far as I’m aware, these three produce identical
results in this case)
sudo apt purge gnucash
sudo
I'm running Gnucash 3.1 with Finance Quote 1.47 on a Windows 10 PC.
Up until today I was running 2.6.
For years I was able to update stock prices no problem.
This stopped working in 2.6 some time ago.
I updated to 3.1 hoping that would fix it.
BTW I had to install Strawberry Perl to get the

I ran that, I did the whereis gnucash and this is the output.

I then did

Perhaps the save dialog is hiding behind the main window? (that’s not supposed
to happen anymore, but...)
Without moving to a different app, hover over GnuCash in the taskbar and see
how many windows are associated with it.

Hello!
Before attempting to fix it myself, I'm curious if someone fixed
current-vs-average report to make it work with GC-3.x?
I'll be interested for YTD-budget as well, but I believe that Chris has done
some work in regard...

The save window flashes up and then disappears. Program locks up.
If you do something else like open a browser then go back to Gnucash the
save window comes back.

It is probbaly a good idea to uninstall the previous build of 2.6.x before
upgrading. With the changes between 2.6 and 3.1 there may have been changes
in the libraries/library names such that some older libraries may not
necessarilybe overwritten.
How to remove it will depend upon how you
Hello,
Thank you for your help.
The banks are not associated with each other.
This is the first time I've had this problem.
I have not changed log-in info for either bank.
My online connection is excellent.
