While I happen to be using release 2.6.19 or so, I think my problem is
still current. I opened a general ledger view then I searched for
transactions containing certain text in the description. This left the
results in the general ledger view. How do I return to the general ledger
view before the

Regarding your underlying question, GnuCash has been playing catch-up with
printer support in Windows for years. Releases in the 2.6 series sometimes
had issues in Windows 7.
I am still using Windows 7 on one of my computers but I prefer to run
GnuCash on one of my Linux machines.

Regarding. The interest deposits, I think that Quicken could have assigned
an "Interest" category to allow you to differentiate from other deposits,
but the fact that it didn't require such is why it sometimes is a challenge

Do not overlook the possibility that you may be looking in the wrong file
for the fresh data. Usually it is easiest to employ a file manager to look

If none of those methods work, you probably have a rather unusual setup and
