I tried opening gnucash, I have been using for over 2 years, and it tells me it
can’t get a lock. I select open anyway and it shows on the windows 10 taskbar,
show a preview when hovered over the icon, but will not open for use. I tried
shutting down the computer and restarting, but that
My main menu doesn't disappear and my "Windows" on the gnu menu bar doesn't
have a "Transfer Funds" option, only "New Window" & "New Window with Page".
Thanks for the attempted solution, wish it would have worked for me.

only if need be.
This software is great and it does more than I need. I hope this suggestion is
heard as that and not a complaint, because it is not a complaint.

better.

scheduled transactions, I never would have thought about them at all.
The change I suggested still is a better way to handle scheduled transactions
as it applies to all account deletions, especially if you are deleting the
referred to account.

Victor was correct, that is exactly what I was trying to do.

Glenn & Kevin,
I just looked at the other file with Notepad and it looks identical, only the
file name is different. This file is named "##.realfile.gnucash.gcm". So I'm
not sure which file should be edited, sorry. Maybe someone else can shed a
little insight.

thought you were going to spend versus what you actually spent. "Budget"
accounts never show you an "active" or current balance in an account, the

Hopefully, when Kevin T. checks his , there will only be one and he can resolve
his issue.

can't find how to change this anywhere. I would like it to show the price in
the register to the same 5 decimal places it has it recorded to in the price
database. Any help would be appreciated.

Indeed, it is the multi-line note that causes it. But I can't get it to
go away no matter what I collapse and expand.

It would be best to start an entirely new email thread for that purpose.
Please take his the way it is intended, as friendly advise and nothing more.
