The Cansaulim villagers continue to be given the run-around by their
Sarpanch Jose Manuel Fernandes and some of the Panch members including
that notorious old-time shrew Martha Saldanha. She along with rowdies
and the builder’s hench-men have even sought to pressurise the poor
villagers

Jose de Areal villagers. Hope the Villagers of other areas where the migrants
live wake up and protect our beloved Goa from all the evils to come.

Bandh was called by BJP and other parties in protestagainst the recent rise in the oil prices.
Don’t know about all India level nor all Goa level (for which will have to
wait and see the morning newspapers).
As for Panjim Bandh, I would say it
Panjim Market is controlled by Muslims. Mathany Saldanha requested them to
shut shop for the bandh, the previous day. Parrkar personally visited all
the establishments in Panjim for two days running, requesting them to shut
down and explaining the reasons for the bandh.
